Five Easy Ways to Generate Traffic to Your Website

Every website owners wants traffic because without traffic they won’t achieve sales goals. It is not that difficult to generate traffic in fact here are five easy ways to generate traffic to your website.

The key to generating traffic is to have good content on your website. Good content contains the information the reader is looking for and expecting based on your keywords used in your Website’s domain name, the title of articles and blog posts and in keywords used in the body of your pages. Bringing traffic to the site is just the begining of the sales battle, in order to achieve sales the website visitor must find your content engaging and meaningful. To hold the reader’s attention the content must be original and timeless (evergreen). If it pertains to something that is not relevant to the reader than they will click away to another website and you will not see any sales.

No one wants to land on a site that is cluttered with advertisements and is obviously asking for the visitor to hand over money. The website must look like it is informative first.

Now you know that the first way to generate traffic is to provide good content. Good content will bring in traffic because of the keywords and by gathering ‘love’ from the search engines which will place your site high in search results because Google and other search engines will see that you provide the content that your keywords say you are offering.

The second way to generate traffic is by making use of forum marketing. Visit forums that are related to your product or service or where your prospective customers hang out. Offer free advice or help that will solve problems for your prospective clients on these forums by offering helpful posts. Do not blatently advertise your website but have your website url in your signature.

You can also blog your way to generating traffic. Have a blog associated with your website and consistently post on the blog about the benefits of your products or services. Give away free stuff on your blog that is directly related to your products or services.

Article marketing is the fourth way to generate traffic. You can write the articles yourself or find someone to do them for you in expensive ways such as by finding someone on to write the articles for you. Then post the articles in article directories with your website url in the author box.

The fifth easy way to generate traffic to your website is to use email marketing. You can create your own newsletter offering tips on the topic of your website and distribute the newsletter via email. Building a list and sending out coupons by email, or announcements about your sales and special events is one way of keeping in touch with your customers so they will be repeat buyers.

Did you know when marketing a product or service online, a squeeze page is an important tool to use that helps funnel prospects into a list?

Once on your list you can then nurture a relationship with your prospects, send freebies, send offers and educate them about your products or services.
A squeeze page is very similar to a sales page in that the primary function is to pull in prospective customers in order to motivate them to take action and purchase a product or service from you.

There are many ways to promote this all important squeeze page but perhaps the most easiest of them is to offer a free service or product and then ask them to share the squeeze page with friends so that they can also benefit from the free gift you are giving on the squeeze page.

Another method of getting prospects to your squeeze page is to write and sumbit articles to article directories that contain your squeeze page address in the author bio box.

The articles should be informative and professional.

You can also draw attention to your squeeze page by using solo ads. Solo ads are a powerful way to promote your squeeze page.

When you utilize ezine solo ads you are basically paying the ezine owner for the priviledge of sending emails to their list that encourage their readers to visit your squeeze page.

Opt-in forms on your blog in the side bar and within your blog posts at the end of the post is another way to get people to your squeeze page and have them sign up to your list.
